Janus, the Roman god of beginnings, changes, and transitions, seems to personify my current state. Having recently retired from Oglethorpe University after 34 years of teaching studio art, I find myself looking both forward and backward, reflecting on the past and envisioning the future. I am also painting, all the time. It’s great.
All of this gives me a lot to think about. So, I am starting a blog. I will be writing this blog approximately once a month about art, the world, things I’ve had on my mind, and things that help me worry less. In short, this is a blog about process, about life, and what it means to make art at this moment in time.
Stay tuned for more updates!
